With sadness, we share the passing of Evelyn Lee Bennett of New Haven, Indiana. Evelyn passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bennett and Goldie Bennett (McDonnell); her son Johnny Nickell; her grandson Christopher Burcham; and her siblings, Wilma Carpenter, Leroy "Butch" Gustin, William "Bill" Gustin, Robert "Bob" Gustin and Debra "Debbie" Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Nickell (Holly), Nickey Nickell (Paula) and Ginger Lindenberg (Chris); her siblings, William "Bud" Weldishofer (Mitzi), Maryann Cornett and Mildred Saylor; her grandchildren, Ryan Nickell, Aaron Nickell, Tonie Burcham and Bailey Gleave (Max); and her great grandchildren, Ayden Lee Nickell and Ava Lee Nickell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harper's Community Funeral Home (740 IN-930, New Haven, IN 46774). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
