She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. and Mary R. Tackwell; and her siblings, Judy Coyne, Steve Tackwell and Sharon McCann.

She is survived by: her husband David Pennell; her children, Kevin Pennell, Eric Pennell and Michelle Pennell-Madden (Patrick); her grandchildren, Vanessa Pennell, Ethan Madden and Isabel Madden; and her siblings, Cindy Huffman (Dave), Tom Tackwell (Lorna) and Greg Tackwell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
