We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2023, at the age of 90, Mildred Ortel of New Palestine, Indiana, born in Rushville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edwin Stark and Opal Stark (Marshall); her husband Melvin Ortel; her brothers, Tom Stark and Donny Stark; her grandson Cory Foster; and her children-in-law, Peggy Ortel and Steve Jones.

She is survived by : her children, Tim Ortel (Aiko), Bruce Ortel (Becky), Mark Ortel, Dave Ortel, Paul Ortel, Marcia Foster (Fred), Debra Jones and Karen Ortel; her grandchildren, Anne, Elizabeth, Kaleigh, Monica, Dana, Kathy and Sam; her great grandchild Caitlan; and her siblings, Jerry Stark, Kathleen McDaniel and Linda Sparks.
