With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russel Dowden Jr. of New Palestine, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Russel departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Russel may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Russel leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell H. Sr. Dowden and Donnie Dowden (Watts). He is survived by: his wife Linda Dowden; his children, Kevin Dowden (Patsy) of Homosassa, FL, Leigh Ann Roembke (Bradd) of New Palestine and Stacy Dowden of Augusta, GA; and his siblings, Danny Dowden (Mary) of Manchester, TN and D. D. Dowden (Michael Bergkamp) of Helena, MT. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
