He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Coon and Marjorie Coon (Guillaume); and his brother Loren Coon. He is survived by: his wife Ann Coon (Spoor); his children, Jeff Coon (Elizabeth), Brad Coon (Melissa) and Lisa Golden (Christopher); his siblings, Rex Coon (Joyce) and Pamala Cover (Larry); his sister-in-law Chris Coon; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Coon, Connor Garrison, Makaden Coon, Ella Coon, Ethan Golden and Cailin Coon; and his great grandchild Kinsley Griffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to Meals on Wheels of Hancock County, or the Hancock County Humane Society.
