He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Smith and Lillian Smith (Lincoln); and his siblings, Mardel Brooks, Maxine Schwartz, Viola Fessel, Virginia Rosenbarger and Maurice Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith; his children, Kevin Smith (Jennifer), Ken Smith and Karen Funk; his brother Marvin Smith (Sandy); his grandchildren, Andrew Smith (Emily), Lucas Smith (Aimee), Kimberlynn Clements (Joe) and Austin Humphrey; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Ellie Smith, Caleb Woodward and Ellis Clements.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (11400 Farmers Ln NE, Greenville, IN 47124). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at the St. Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
