We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2022, at the age of 58, Sharon Rae Chitwood of New Whiteland, Indiana, born in South Bend, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Ted Byrd and Nancy Byrd (Mall); her parents-in-law, Roy and Peggy Chitwood; and her brother Douglas Byrd.
She is survived by : her husband Randy Chitwood of New Whiteland, IN; her son Wyatt Chitwood of New Whiteland; her siblings, Pat Byrd (Vickie) of Wichita, KS, Toni Kuiper (Mike) of Minnesota and Nick Byrd of Crown Point, IN; her nieces and nephews, Erica Ohman (David), Danny Byrd (Bernadette), Nathan Alley-Byrd (David), Kia Ganz (John), Patrick Byrd (Jessica), Katrina Kuiper, Michael Kuiper, Lydia Byrd and Luke Byrd; her sister-in-law Stephanie Sheets (Eric) of Greenwood, IN; and her nephews-in-law, Cody Sheets (Marci), Greg Sheets (Carissa), Luke Sheets (Karielle), Kaden, Elisia and Garrett Sheets. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to breast cancer research in her name.
