He was predeceased by : his parents, John Denver and Pauline Hasler (Ogden); his wife Wana Hasler (Peachee); and his brother Derald Hasler. He is survived by : his children, David Hasler (Tenna) of Carmel, IN, Susie Newton (Rick) of Washington, IN and Paula Newcom (Terry) of Marion, IN; his grandchildren, Brittany Nix (Russell) of Carmel, IN, Darin Hasler of Indianapolis, IN, Ashlee Hasler of Indianapolis, IN, Bryce Newton (Erin) of Washington, IN, Jaron Newton (Chelsea) of Chicago, IL and Annsley Busboom (Jordan) of Evansville, IN; and his stepgrandchildren, Tylanna Jones (Jeremy) of Gas City, IN and Stephen Newcom of Kokomo, IN.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Meng Family Funeral Home (616 E Elnora St, Odon, IN 47562). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John D. Hasler Scholarship Fund for North Daviess Ag students.
