She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Lafayette Evans and Evelyn Evans (Connell); her husband Dana Paul Covert; her sister Frances Pratt; her granddaughter Mary Morford; and her close friend Victor Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Ann Scott (Terry) and Dana Paul Covert II (Linda); and her grandchildren, Michael Scott (Martha), Melissa Jackson (Wade), Christy Nelson, Michele McVey (Brad), Brian Covert (Nicole) and Jason Covert (Leah). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
Betty was a volunteer Police Officer (known as RSVP) in La Mesa, CA for over 15 years.
