He was predeceased by : his parents, Ethel "Jo" Schaefer (Elliott) and John William Schaefer; and his siblings, Mark Schaefer and Lois Schaefer. He is survived by : his wife Lori Schaefer (Felker); his children, Grant Schaefer (Jessica Adams) and Rachel Schaefer; his granddaughter Clara Schaefer; his brothers, John Schaefer (Melissa), William "Bill" Schaefer, Daniel Schaefer and Joseph Schaefer (Kathy); his sister-in-law Susan Schaefer; and his uncle Jim Schaefer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
