He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Cowan and Jeanne Ball Cowan; and his brother Richard Chris. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Hannan Cowan; his pets, Jake and Beau; his sister Teresa Lucas; and his aunt Patsy Greer. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
