It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Ricketts Sr. of Newburgh, Indiana, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fred Ricketts Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Ricketts (Woods) and Gilbert Ricketts; his sons, Brian Ricketts and Christopher Ricketts; and his siblings, Jean Heck, Wanda Ricketts, Gilbert Jewel Ricketts and Donald "Hoot" Ricketts.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Ricketts (Carney); his sons, Fred Ricketts, Jr. (Julie) of Liberty Township, OH and Wayne Ricketts (Michele) of Evansville; his grandchildren, Bradley Ricketts, Sydney Ricketts and Jonah Weitkamp; his sister Connie Spaulding (Bill); his sister-in-law Brenda Embry; and also Fred. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel (626 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Locust Hill Cemetery (3800 Kratzville Rd, Evansville, IN 47710).
