He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl R. Harris and Ruth Mae Harris (Brown); and his siblings, Judy Crowe (Harris) and William "Bill" Harris. He is survived by: his children, Julie Lang (Perry) of Henderson Nevada, Mike Harris, Brian Vanderpool (Betsy) of Medina Ohio, Sarah Miller, Jaine Bracey, Erin Grunwald, Elliot Grunwald, Christopher Vanderpool (Lynette), Katie King (Elliot) and Benjamin Vanderpool; his great grandchildren, Emery, Jaida Bracey and Caroline King; his siblings, Bob Harris of Lamar, Jack Harris of Mt Vernon, Alice Muro (Al) of Tehachapi and Carol Roth (Ron) of Newburgh; and his wife Diane Elaine Vanderpool.

Due to family COVID at present, a "Day of Celebration", with burial at Tupman Cemetery in the Harris family plot area will be done in the Spring of 2022; the birds will be singing and the flowers in bloom.
