Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nieva Pontaoe Schapker (Newburgh, Indiana), who passed away at the age of 63, on February 25, 2020. She was predeceased by: her mother Adoracion R. Pontaoe (Roy). She is survived by: her husband Anthony L. Schapker, MD; her children, Heidi Schapker Tirb (George M. Tirb), Liesl B. Schapker (Ananth Pandian) and Peter A. Schapker (Molly McLaughlin); her father Alejandro G. Pontaoe; her siblings, Alejandro Pontaoe, Jr. (Shera), Sheldon Pontaoe (Eileen) and P. Dulce Walker (David); her grandchildren, Ava I., Liam E. Finucane and Gabriella M. Schapker; and her nieces and nephews, Alexandra Pontaoe, Caroline Pontaoe, Kaitlan Oliver, Christian Pontaoe and Ian Walker.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Nieva, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
