He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Porter and Mildred Porter (Wathen); and his sister Barbara Gayle Hanning. He is survived by: his wife Stella Porter (Rideout); his sons, Mark (Julie), Greg (Kelly) and Bobby (Lisa); his grandchildren, Matthew (Jasmine), Brooke Adler (Kyle), Jordan, Conner (Emily), Aaron (Elise), Andrew (Riley) and Austin; his sister Janet Anderson of Newburgh; Rhett, Willow, Wrenley, Maverick, Baylor, Owen, Dax and Henry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (1800 St George Rd, Evansville, IN 47711). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sunset Cemetery (1800 St George Rd, Evansville, IN 47711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Western Kentucky Youth Camp in Marion, Kentucky.
