He was predeceased by: his brother Steven Mitchell; his nephew Jamie Stoops; and his brother-in-law Russ Bauldry. He is survived by: his wife Linda Mitchell; his children, Evan Mitchell (Megan "Sheely") and Sarah Croce (Bryan); his grandchildren, Imogen "Ginny" Mitchell, Parker Croce, Wesley Rae Mitchell, Elaina Croce and Kestrel Mitchell; his sisters, Susan Bauldry and Shauna Lezak (John); his nieces and nephews, Kerri Walsh (Voulo), Lauri Voulo, Steven Voulo, Ryan Stoops and Daniel Stoops; and his in-laws, Vicki Young (Ron) and Mike Young (Janice).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh (5333 Old Indiana 261, Newburgh, IN 47630). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Alexander Newburgh Chapel (5333 State St #261, Newburgh, IN 47630).
