It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Custer of Newburgh, Indiana, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Clinton Custer and Eva G. Custer; his son Jeffrey Alan Custer; his sister Cathy "Kitten" Custer Guilliams; and his siblings-in-law, Erma C. Custer and Bobby Sigmon.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Sue Custer; his son Stephen Warren Custer II; his daughter-in-law Kristal Lynn Custer; his grandchildren, Stephen Christopher Custer and Cassandra Josie Custer (Cassie); and his siblings, Danny W. Custer (Juanita), Loretta Custer Sigmon, Lorraine Custer Roberts (Doug), Carey E. Custer (Betty), Anthony A. Custer (Lynne) and Ann Custer Sledd (Roger).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Water's Edge Church Building Fund, 233 Watson Lane, Henderson, KY.
