He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Phifer and Thelma Phifer; and his siblings, Tim and Terri. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Phifer (Jared Jones), Craig Phifer and Kim Phifer (Dan Klatzkin); his grandchildren, Steve, Calvin, Zoe, Eric Phifer, Jonah, Theo Jones, Cameron and Quinn Klatzkin; and his siblings, Tony Phifer (Kathy) of Fort Collins, Paula Phifer of Greeley and Colo. He is also survived by his wife, three children.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh (5333 Old Indiana 261, Newburgh, IN 47630). A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Evansville YMCA Parkinson's Programs and/or Staunton Food Pantry.
