She was predeceased by : her mother Nellie Renschler (White); her stepfather Syl Renschler; and her great grandchild Joseph Edward Shields. She is survived by : her husband Edward Shields; her children, Phyllis Cummings, Betty Sims (Scott), Mike Shields, Kenny Shields (Jeri) and Diane Retter (Donnie); and her grandchildren, Alesia (Chris), Sean, Amy (Jeff), Sara (Wes), Amanda (Justin), Kelsey (Roger), David, Mark (Karen), Lisa (Alex), Tony and Travis.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rupert Catholic Church (1244 Red Brush Rd, Newburgh, IN 47630).
