He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Steinbrenner Sr. and Annamae Steinbrenner (Hutchens); his sister Joann; his brother-in-law Bob Loehman; his brother Larry Steinbrenner; his parents-in-law, Howard and Dorothy Myers; and his brother-in-law Frank Hunsberger.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Steinbrenner; his sons, John H. Steinbrenner (Brigit) of Hillsdale and Jeff Steinbrenner (Tammy) of Newport; his grandchildren, Jacob Steinbrenner (Michaela) of Newport, Ashton Steinbrenner of Newport, Chuck of Newport, Patrick of Newport and Erik Weaver of Newport; his great grandchildren, Gordon, Gibson Steinbrenner, Jayden and Evalynn Weaver; his sister-in-law Judy Hunsberger of Warsaw, Indiana.; and his sibling's children, Kitty Ellis, Toni Van Dyke and Joe Hunsberger.
