He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Bentley (Cook) and Willard Bentley; and his siblings, Jane Ann Leeper, Wilma Kay Bentley, Karen Beason, Jerry Bentley, David Bentley, James Bentley and Carl Bentley.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bentley (Lawson); his children, Gene and Rhonda; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Mandy, Adam Bentley, David and Shirley Lawson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crownland Cemetery (1776 Monument St, Noblesville, IN 46060).
