He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilden Vires and Nannie Belle Vires (Spencer); and his siblings, William, Harrison, Alice, Pearl, Donna and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Miller; his children, Andrea Darnell (Mike) and David Vires; and his siblings, David (Diana), John and Carole. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
