He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Benson and Pauline Benson (Harris); his parents-in-law, Frank and Mildred Shortz; and his siblings-in-law, John Shortz and Emey Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Benson (Shortz); his son Craig; his daughter-in-law Bethany Benson; his daughter Blair; his son-in-law Noah Hoppe; his grandchildren, Caden Benson of North Judson, Connor of North Judson and Teaghan Jo Benson of North Judson; his siblings, Alan Benson of Knox, Gary Benson (Gail) of North Judson, James Benson (Ruth) of Culver and Marla Benson of North Judson, Indiana; and his aunt Clarabelle Troike of North Judson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 Lane St, North Judson, IN 46366). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
