It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John W. Gouker Sr. of North Liberty, Indiana, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Gouker, and Grace Gouker, Sr. (Platz); his former wife Helen Shirley; his son John W. Gouker, Jr.; and his siblings, Betty Ginzer, Opal Gouker, Dale, Melvin Jr., James and Dewayne Gouker.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Bell (Jeffrey) of North Liberty, Sally Kazmierczak (David) of South Bend, Jerry Gouker of North Liberty and Jeffery Gouker (Kelli) of Allegan, MI; his grandchildren, John Bell (Kristi), Nicole Gray (Jon), Jennifer Kazmierczak, Andrew Kazmierczak (Sarah), Sarah Geairn (Tom), Emily Gouker, Patrick Gouker and Gavin Gouker; and his siblings, Wanda Pontius of Plymouth, Ron Gouker of Bremen and Richard Gouker of North Liberty. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
