He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Richard; his sons, Matthew Barker and Daniel Whelpley (Haley); his siblings, Allen Barker (Rebecca), Larry Barker (Norma) and Dinah Simpson; and his grandchildren, John, Lynx and Waylan. He was also cherished by his family dearly, especially his two boys and three grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McKee Mortuary (1401 W State Rd 114, North Manchester, IN 46962). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
