We announce the death of Lois Mae Davis of North Manchester, Indiana, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 98. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lois will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lois will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lois’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Winfield and Florence I. Bagwell (Minnick); her husband Rev. John W. Davis; her children, Stephen Paul Davis and Martha Jane Davis; and her brother Richard Burton Bagwell.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy John Davis (Katie) of Warsaw, Indiana, Michael Ted Davis (Tammy) of LaGrange, Kentucky and Mary Rogers (Ned) of Muncie, Indiana; and her siblings, Mary Alice Dillman of Delaware, Ohio and David Burton Bagwell (Peggy) of Baltimore, Maryland.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel (207 W Main St, North Manchester, IN 46962). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery North Manchester.
