She was predeceased by: her parents, Tiffin Vardaman and Luella Vardaman (Fuhrman); and her stepson Barry Monroe. She is survived by: her husband Gary Monroe; her stepchildren, Brian Monroe and Beth Monroe (Paul); and her siblings, Jim Vardaman, Larry Vardaman (Sherrill), Deane Vardaman, Don Vardaman, Carol Wilkerson, Rox Ann Brewer, Jo Ann Belt, Vicky Oertling and Linda Lascalzo.
