He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban G. Vollmer and Cleo R. Vollmer (Schrader); his wife Barbara Jean Vollmer; and his siblings, Dale Vollmer and Marjorie Tinkey.

He is survived by: his siblings, Louis Dale and Marjorie Irene Vollmer; his nieces, Christine, Amy and Ruth Vollmer; and his daughters, Christine Jones (Charles), Amy Isenberg (Michael) and Ruth LaSalle (Thomas). He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and his friends.
