Freddie Mays Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Freddie Mays of North Vernon, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Mays and Laura Mays (Sipes); and his siblings, Doug, Larry, Jack, Bob, Lionel Dean Mays, Donnie Spicer and Barb Darringer.

He is survived by: his children, Charlie Mays (Lindsey) of North Vernon and Sandra Bishop (Scott) of North Vernon; his siblings, Ron Mays (Debbie) of Vernon and Marlene Bohall of Lovett; his grandchildren, Lindsey Wooley, Cody Bishop (Kayla) and Kelsey (Chad); his stepgrandchildren, Luke Robbins of Jennings County, Lathen Sturgill and Lainey Marksberry of Commiskey; and his great grandchildren, Donovan Courter of Osgood, Loryn Wooley of Jennings County, Kinley Bishop, Cayleb Bishop, Elaina McHaley, Alice McHaley, Amelia McHaley, Kynnedi Bishop, Lainey Bishop and Greyson Wooley.
