He is survived by: his wife Terri Walker; his daughters, Sarah Campbell (Steve) of Columbus, Suzanne Johnson (Dan) of Columbus, Katie Silvati (John) of Petersburg and Elizabeth Piazza of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his adoptive son Marty Colyer (Rebecca) of Dupont; and his grandchildren, Olivia Neawedde (Blake) of Seymour, Cole Spencer (Alisha) of Elizabethtown, Emma Campbell of Columbus, Caroline Burton of Petersburg, Molly Piazza of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maggie Piazza of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Harrison Piazza of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Memorials may be made in honor of James through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility or First Baptist Church in North Vernon.
