She was predeceased by: her daughters, Beverly Jo Moore and Judy Trimmer; her daughter-in-law Sherida Moore; her siblings, Billy, Larry Trisler, Cleo Donahue and Sue Trisler; and her grandson Scott Mealer.
She is survived by: her children, Areta Finch, Debbie Alvarez and Tom Moore; her siblings, Cheryl Trisler and Mark Trisler; her sister-in-law Jewell Trisler; and her grandchildren, Shannon Curtis (Richard), Michael Mealer (Chrissie), Robert L. York, Jr. (Nathan), J. R. Brownlow Smith, Richard Nowell (Stacy), Ricky Trimmer and Kristi Trimmer. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service (115 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Joann's memory to the Friends of Muscatatuck River Society, Cana United Methodist Church Cemetery, or the Avenue of Flags.
