She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hester and Eloise Clendenning Hester. She is survived by: her children, Amy Newkirk (Scott), Chad Ebinger (Nicki), Todd Ebinger (Abby) and Annie Roehrig (Mitch) of North Vernon; her siblings, Jan Matern (Tom), Jeanie Kirchner (Andy) of North Vernon, Ed Hester (Robin) of Spartanburg, SC and John Hester (Mary Ann) of San Antonio, TX; and her grandchildren, Chance Newkirk (Lexi), Mackenzie Newkirk, Kaylee, Ellie, Kenyan, Finn, Knox Ebinger, Calli Sizemore, Cooper and Carter Roehrig.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service (115 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (212 Washington St, North Vernon, IN 47265).
Memorials may be made in Jody's memory to Autism Speaks or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
