It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Lou (Morgan) Sylvester of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Faris Burkley and Gwen L. Morgan (Walker); and her husband Gerald Dean "Jerry" Sylvester, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Burns (Jeffrey) of Taylorsville, Stephanie Greer of North Vernon, James Franks of North Vernon and Scott Short of North Vernon; and her siblings, George Morgan of Yosemite, Kentucky and Tamme Bright of North Vernon. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friend Funeral Home (545 KY-328, Waynesburg, KY 40489). A burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Durham Cemetery-Casey County.
