We are sad to announce that, on January 20, 2026, at the age of 90, Michael Hughes of North Vernon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loval Hughes and Mildred Hughes (Parson); his wife Wilma Mae Hughes (Branham); and his sister Pat Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Roger A. Hughes (Gayle) of North Vernon, Cathy Jo Heath of Commiskey and Marcia L. McGill (Rick) of North Vernon; his siblings, Ray Hughes (Brenda) of North Vernon, John Hughes (Nancy) of North Vernon, Kevin Hughes (Sherry) of Commiskey, Sharon Galliher of Commiskey and Beth Hughes of Seymour; his granddaughter Caryle Heath (Christopher Morrow) of North Vernon; and his great grandchildren, Kalleigh of North Vernon and Walker Morrow of North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Michael through the funeral home to the Tea Creek Cemetery Fund.
