We announce the death of Patti Jean Nelson of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 90. Patti will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Darrell Nelson; her parents, Albert Funke and Dorothy Robertson Funke; her brother James Franklin Funke Sr.; and her grandson Darrell Nelson.
She is survived by: her son Mike Nelson; her daughter-in-law Robin Nelson; her sister Karen White; her brother-in-law Jim White; her grandson Derek Nelson (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Avilynn, Tinsley, Juels and Jack Nelson.
Memorials may be made in Patti's memory to Anew Hospice through the funeral Home.
