It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Gaines of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Gaines and Margaret Gaines (Wainscott); his sister Jo Ann Seale; his nephew Kenneth Geisler; and his brother-in-law Larry Henry.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Rockey; his children, John Gaines (Donna), Mary Summerfield (Jeff Sharp), Lisa Gaines, Rebecca Arms (Gary), Laura Gaines, Beth Gaines (Scott Brooks), William Gaines and Ralph Gaines Jr.; and his siblings, Barbara Geisler (Elvan), Ruth Ann Shirey (Lowell), Maire Gilpin (Raymond), Penny Henry and Mike Gaines (Janet). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Ralph's memory to Gentiva Hospice through the funeral home.
