She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Colwell and Rebecca Colwell (Huff); her husband Earl Hopkins; her son Robert "Bobby" Hawkins; her daughter-in-law Brenda Hawkins; and her siblings, Raymond, Kelly, Marie Allman, Nellie Smith, Rellie Fish and Hester Stidham.

She is survived by: her sons, Rick Hawkins of Palmyra, Indiana, Edward Hawkins (Kenna) of Nashville, Indiana and Raymond Colwell of Ashland, Oregon. She is also survived by two stepsons; 11 grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
