He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Sr. Long and Mary Long (Stinson); and his daughter Nikki Long. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughter Rana Wilds (Isaiah) of North Vernon; his stepchildren, Whitey Durham (Geri) of Hayden and Crystal Durham of Greensburg; and his siblings, Ralph Long Jr. (Leah) of Monon, David Long (Sherry) of Seymour, Gary Stinson (Carol) of Scipio and Sheila Adams (Dan) of North Vernon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in honor of Steve through the funeral home to The American Cancer Society or Hospice of Jennings County.
