With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Ray Gerth of North Vernon, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gerth Sr. and Apphia Gerth (Wohrer); and his siblings, Jerry, Dale, Rick, Ralph, Louis, Donald Gerth, Helen McCulley and Alice West.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Gerth; his daughter Erin McNeill (Doug) of Trafalger; his siblings, Cecil "Pete" Gerth Jr. (Deb) of North Vernon and Carole Elam of Columbus; and his grandson Cole McNeill of Trafalger.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Walter through the funeral home to the Apphia Gerth Scholarship Fund through the Hayden Museum.
