He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Kern (Duffy); his son Michael James Kern; and his grandson Reid Julian Kern. He is survived by: his children, Julie Hays (Rich), Brian Kern (Liz), Jon Kern (Deanna Thomas) and Nathan Kern (Alicia); and his brothers, Greg Kern (Cindy) and Kevin Kern. He is also survived by grandchildren and 1 great grandson, many extended family members and friends.
