He is survived by: his children, Kalli Volkert (Taylor Patrick) of North Webster, Indiana, Dustin Keesbury (Tamanda) of Hicksville and Joshua Volkert of Kokomo, Indiana; his stepsons, Dylan Beghtel of Fort Wayne and Jordan Walborn of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Roman, Waylon, Serenity, Maverik, Jett, Elias and Kinzington; his great grandchildren, Luka and Javon; his sisters, Alice Volkert of Dallas and Beth Hughes (Joe) of Antwerp, Ohio; and his nieces, Sarah Noethen, Ally Noethen (Marcus Stepp) and Ace Volkert.
