He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Shaffer (James) of La Porte, Adele Riffle (Chris) of Burghill, OH and Amy Cohan of La Porte; his grandchildren, Spenser, Kaitlynn Shaffer of Hobart, Grace Shaffer of Valparaiso, Rebekah Shaffer of Terre Haute and Mika DePofi of Douglasville, GA; his great grandchild Sienna Shaffer of Hobart; and his nieces, Pam Hunsley and Debra Grieger.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center (2900 Monroe St, La Porte, IN 46350). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Tracy Cemetery (8705 S 100 E, Hamlet, IN 46532). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
