We bid farewell to Erika Schmieder in Northwest, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 9, 2025 at the age of 90. Erika touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Durler and Wilhelmina Durler; her husband Erich Schmieder; her stepfather Hugo Geiger; and her siblings, Fred Durler and Klara Hug.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ingrid Weihe (Ken) of Elgin, Linda Schmieder of Palatine and Rita Schmieder of Streamwood; her grandsons, Jeffrey Weihe (Amanda) of Elgin and Andrew Weihe (Shanyn) of Elgin; her great grandchild Jonathan Weihe; and her sister Sieglinde Münk of Hochemmingen, Germany. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
