It is with sadness that the passing of Stephen L. Franko in Northwest, Indiana is shared. Stephen, born on November 16, 1939, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Stephen will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Stephen by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Stephen is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Stephen’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his father Stephen (LeNova); his wife Madeline Joan Franko; his daughter Stephanie Franko; and his sister Marie. He is survived by: his son Dean Franko of Hobart; and his siblings, Virginia, Peg, Charles "Butch" and Rich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Rees Funeral Home (600 W Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, IN 46342).
