Duane A. Balcerski C.S.C. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane A. Balcerski C. S. C. of Notre Dame, Indiana, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Duane has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Matthew and Eleanor (Resman). He is survived by: his siblings, Bruce, James Balcerski and Judith Balcerski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Moreau Seminary and Scholasticate. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (101 Basilica Dr, Notre Dame, IN 46556).
