She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Heydenberk and Edith Heydenberk (Hazen); her husband Robert Essenberg; her former husband Richard Curtis; and her siblings, Virginia Matthews (Roger), Eula Payne, Ilene Rummer (Robert), Myrna Trommater (Gene), Shirley VanDenHeuvel (Gerald), Everett Heydenberk (Christine), Wilbur Heydenberk (Margaret) and Gerald Heydenberk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanie Jacobs (Jeff), Julie Curtis (Steve), Barbara Price, Susan Palagyi and Beth Rhoden; her grandchildren, Jamie Daugherty (Curtis), Joshua Jacobs (Danielle), Shannon Barstow (Jim), Garrett Brink, Bethany Harmon (Dean), Jason Price (Ellen), Terry Palagyi (Amy), Robert Palagyi (Diana), Annie Palagyi, Scott Rhoden (Staysha) and Holly Rhoden; and her sister-in-law Anna Heydenberk. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hart Cemetery (126 W Main St, Hart, MI 49420).
