He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Melvin and Mary Alice "Davis" Melvin; and his nephew Christopher Griggs. He is survived by: his sisters, Angie Griggs Nolte (Nick), Peggy Skidmore (Mark) and Lorie Edwards (Dan); and his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Griggs, Ryan Skidmore (Anessa), Megan Skidmore, Amanda Edwards Rath (Mitch) and Andrew Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
