She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stanley and Bertha Jones (Moore); her husband Orville H. Root; her daughter Darlena Kelley; and her siblings, Sarah Witt, Dorothy Witt, Venice Creech, Ruby Jones, Delia Smith, Paul Jones, Clarence Eugene Jones, Charles E. Jones and John Stanley Jones, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Christina Weaver of Bedford, Carolena Harrison of Bedford, Rosanna Turner of Oolitic and Vanessa Caudill of London, KY. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
