He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Porter and Betty Porter (Axton); his grandson Darius Porter; and his siblings, Clessie Hayes and Bob Porter.

He is survived by : his children, Sandra Porter of Orestes, Rose Porter of Marion and Daryl Porter of Roachdale. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers; and two sisters.
