He is survived by: his children, Susan Miller of Elkhart and Robert Hamilton, Jr. of Howe; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Hamilton of Howe and Alysa Hamilton of Garrett; his great grandchild Dean Drake; his goddaughter Angie Burkhead of LaGrange; and his sister Betty Thomas of Howe, Indiana..
